Senior Project Manager – Vulnerability Management & IT Security

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for an exciting consulting assignment focused on strengthening vulnerability management and IT security processes within a complex IT environment.

About the Assignment

You will lead initiatives to improve the identification, mitigation, and remediation of critical security vulnerabilities. The role involves driving process improvements, implementing automated solutions, and coordinating stakeholders across IT operations and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement improved mitigation processes for critical vulnerabilities, particularly known exploited vulnerabilities affecting internet-facing systems.

• Drive the implementation of automated vulnerability mitigation where technically feasible.

• Establish processes and solutions for compensating security controls, such as virtual patching, network segmentation, and secure configuration.

• Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities across IT operations, infrastructure, and security teams.

• Manage stakeholders, priorities, dependencies, and project delivery.

• Ensure effective processes for patch management, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior IT project management.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Solid understanding of vulnerability management and remediation processes.

• Experience with IT operations, patch management, and virtual patching.

• Understanding of compensating security controls and IT infrastructure security.

• Ability to independently lead complex initiatives involving multiple technical teams.
